A Community Poverty Simulation - Bridges to Dignity

Bridges to Dignity, a partnership of churches, agencies and citizens of South Santa Rosa County, is inviting community leaders and any agency that deals with low income children or families, the homeless or individuals with disabilities - to be part of a Poverty Simulation Event on Friday, February 7 from 1 pm to 4 pm at St. Sylvester's Catholic Church.

The Poverty Simulation Event is designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive from month to month. The Simulation provides a glimpse into the structural barriers of poverty to transform participants’ perspectives about their own communities. These transformed perspectives inspire action toward positive community change.

Please invite and/or share this event with anyone you feel would benefit from being part of this event. We need 60 participants to make this meaningful for our community in South Santa Rosa County.

This event is a project of Bridges to Dignity, a partnership of churches, agencies and citizens of South Santa Rosa County, is inviting community leaders and any agency that deals with low income children or families, the homeless or individuals with disabilities to:
-Educate the community on the impact poverty has on the family and community
-Conduct the evidence based program called “Getting Ahead in a Just Getting By World” classes to empower individuals and build resources of change.
