Kingdom of Sweets Bake-Off

On the evening of November 23, 2013 the Northwest Florida Ballet will be hosting a wine and dessert reception to celebrate the premier of our 44th production of

The Nutcracker at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center. 
 

We are looking for experienced bakers and candy-makers to submit original dessert designs inspired by the performance to be served to our guests alongside a selection of sweet wines (generously donated by Vintij Wine Boutique). Your creations can be larger confections that will be served by the portion or bite-sized pieces.

In addition to being served at the reception, the top three bakers will receive the following prize packages:

1st Place
-1 full-page ad in the 2013/14 NFB Season Program
-2 2013/14 NFB Season Subscriptions
-1 complimentary ticket to The Nutcracker 
-A web feature by Vie Magazine (tentative)

2nd Place
-1 half-page ad in the 2013/14 NFB Season Program
-1 2/13/14 NFB Season Subscription
-1 free entry to our 2014 Resolution Run/Walk
-1 complimentary ticket to The Nutcracker

3rd Place
-1 free quarter-page ad in the 2013/14 NFB Season Program
-2 complimentary tickets to one of our 2013/14 season shows
-1 free entry to our Resolution Run/Walk
-1 complimentary ticket to The Nutcracker

All entries must be brought to the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on November 23 at 4:30 PM. Please bring enough samples to enable tasting by all guests present, as well as any pertinent allergen information. Entries will be judged both on taste and presentation. Guests will begin arriving at 5:30 PM, so being on time is a must!

The deadline for entry is November 14, 2013. A definite headcount of guests who will be in attendance will be emailed to all entrants on November 15, one week before the competition.
