Turn Compassion Into a Career: At-Home Childcare Business Workshop Set for August 24

Aspiring entrepreneurs interested in combining compassion, entrepreneurship and service to their community are invited to attend a special At-Home Childcare Business Start-Up Workshop on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Navarre Chamber Information Center, 1804 Prado Street in Navarre.

The workshop is designed to help address the growing demand for quality childcare services in Northwest Florida while introducing participants to the opportunities and responsibilities associated with operating a successful childcare business from home.

Attendees will learn essential start-up steps and industry best practices, including popular in-home childcare models, legal and regulatory considerations, financial planning, potential profitability and resources available to help entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses.

Following the workshop, participants will have access to a Florida Small Business Development Center business consultant who can provide confidential, no-cost assistance as they refine their business plans and work toward opening their at-home childcare businesses.

“This workshop is an opportunity for compassionate individuals to explore a meaningful business venture that can provide income for their families while helping meet one of our community’s most critical needs,” organizers said.

The workshop is sponsored by Regions Bank, and refreshments will be provided.
