SUMMARY:Navarre Fishing Rodeo 2021
DESCRIPTION:Be part of the coolest fishing event around!\n\nAbout this Event\n\nBe part of the coolest fishing event around! Fish from the shore\, a boat or kayak\, or from the pier - you just can't "fish" from the seafood market! First\, Second and Third place prizes will be awarded in open\, kayak and junior divisions. You can only win one prize in each division for your best fish. If you are a kayaker\, you can enter the open division or the kayak division\, or both. If you enter both\, you can win in both divisions with different fish. You can not switch fish from one division to the next after weighing them in.\n\n\n\nWeigh in is at Juana's Pagodas on Navarre Beach Causeway and scales open at 1 p.m. and close promptly at 4 p.m. on both days. Junior anglers twelve and under can compete in the Junior Division for FREE with a registered adult angler. Up to two Jr.'s per adult. Jr. Anglers do not receive a t-shirt - even though Eventbrite will ask for their sizes. We couldn't turn it on for some and off for others.\n\n\n\nWeigh master-Robert Turpin\, Marine Resources Manager\, Escambia County\n\n\n\nRobert Turpin is native coastal NW Florida. Robert is a graduate of University of West Florida and has been the Escambia County Marine Resource Division Manager since 2000. Marine Resource Division Programs include: Waterway Management\, Waterway Access\, Artificial Reefs and Special Projects. Robert specializes in artificial reef construction\, and has deployed 170\,000 tons of artificial reefs for Escambia County\, including the world's largest artificial reef: decommissioned aircraft carrier USS Oriskany. Special Projects include Education and Outreach activities\, internship opportunities\, Coastal Cleanups\, fishing tournaments and Kids Fishing Clinics.\n\n\n\nOur scales have been certified\, therefore we are able to verify any IGFA record fish. Angler is responsible for determining potential eligibility and requesting certification.\n\n\n\nProceeds from this event will benefit the Navarre Beach Area Chamber Foundation. \n\n\n\n\n\nCaptain's bags will have goodies that all will enjoy. Stay tuned for updates.\n\n\n\nwww.navarrefishingrodeo.com and https://www.facebook.com/navarrefishingrodeo\n\nwww.okaloosagas.com\n\n\n\n\n\nALL DECISIONS OF THE RODEO RULES COMMITTEE WILL BE FINAL.\n\n\n\n\n\nHold Harmless: It is expressly understood that all registered participants and nonregistered enter at their own risk. Further\, each registered and non-registered participant on behalf of other family members and/or executors agrees to release and hold harmless the tournament officials\, sponsors\, the county of Santa Rosa County\, and all other persons connected directly or indirectly with operation of said tournament from any liability for libel\, slander\, loss\, damage\, negligence\, harm\, injury\, or death suffered by any participant\, entrant\, sport fishermen\, their companions\, boat captains\, mates\, crew members\, vessels and equipment which may occur during the tournament.\n\n\n\n\n\nMinors: Parents of legal guardians of anglers who are under the age of 18 and competing in the Rodeo\, must review all of the rules and regulations governing the tournament and sign on behalf of their child.\n\n\n\n\n\nProtests: Any protest made must be made in writing\, accompanied by a $300 protest fee\, and in the hands of the Tournament Committee prior to 5:30 pm on the tournament day.
