DESCRIPTION:The Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office and the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce will be co-hosting the 2nd Annual Snowbirds Festival on Thursday\, January 18\, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm at St Sylvester Catholic Church at 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway.\n\nSAVE THE DATE NOW for Thursday\, January 18th\, and be prepared to have lots of fun as all are welcome to come and rock out at the Santa Rosa County Snowbirds Sock Hop!\n\n\n\nIf you are interested in helping decorate for this very popular community event\, please make plans to join us on October 19th at 11 am to discuss details.\n\n\n\nHere are more details about the event:\n\n \n\nIn addition to the electrifying entertainment from a LIVE DJ\, a costume contest will take place\, with prizes for best dressed\, best dancers and door prizes.\n\nEveryone is invited to come dressed in their favorite 50's gear to sock\, hop and roll and learn more about businesses and organizations in the Navarre Beach area.\n\nThe event will be a great way for snowbirds to meet new neighbors and renew some old memories with friends. Santa Rosa County is very 'Snowbird Friendly'\, and our events are one way for snowbirds to mingle with other snowbirds in the area.\n\nThe afternoon will include light bites\, beverages\, LIVE entertainment\, vendor booths\, a photo booth\, interactive activities\, classic cars\, door prizes and special offers from area businesses with snowbirds receiving a special Sock Hop Passport and stamp for each vendor booth visited. Those who visit each participating vendors will be entered into a grand prize drawing.\n\nEveryone is invited to dress up\, but it is not required. Come and celebrate the old days! We hope to see you there.\n\nThousands of visitors head south to Northwest Florida for the winter each year. The "Santa Rosa County Snowbirds Sock Hop" is one of many events designed to bring the snowbirds together in their home away from home.
