DESCRIPTION:The Chamber has started receiving information from the health department and neighboring and national chambers on things to do to combat the national media attention on the Corona Virus.\n\n\n\nSince this Thursday\, March 12 at 4 pm is the Chamber's next scheduled Tourism Committee Meeting\, we will be having a "Special" Tourism Committee Meeting to devote time to this critical issue with our hospitality partners\, chamber members and the community.  \n\n\n\nWe know tourism effects every business in our community\, and we want to help make sure that everyone has as much information as they need to support the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office's efforts.\n\n\n\nHere is the "Tentative Agenda" for the meeting:\n\n	Update from the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office Director:  Julie White\n	 \n	Q&A from Attendees\n	 \n	What are businesses seeing in revenue and traffic for the first week of Spring Break and for the upcoming Spring Break Season?\n	 \n	Overview of the Importance of the business community to support the efforts of the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office.\n\n\n\nThe Chamber's Tourism Committee Meeting is Thursday\, March 12 at 4 pm at The Navarre Chamber Information Center at 1804 Prado Street (behind TC's Front Porch).\n\n\n\nThis "SPECIAL" Tourism Committee Meeting is Open to the Public.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee works hand-in-hand with the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council\, community leaders and tourism industry businesses in brainstorming sessions\, task-oriented sub-committees and monthly meetings to bring more education\, events and initiatives to make the Navarre Beach area experience better for both locals and visitors alike.\n\n\n\nThe Tourism Committee recognizes the importance of tourism for small business\, economic development and prosperity in the Navarre Beach area and supports the branding efforts and policies of the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office that strengthens our community and Santa Rosa County.\n\n\n\nThe Tourism Committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at The Navarre Chamber Information Center at 4 pm.\n\n\n\nPurpose of Tourism Committee:\n\n\n	The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee follows the lead of the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office on tourism efforts and initiatives in the Navarre Beach area in order to close the education and needs gap within the tourism industry.\n	 \n	By partnering with the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office and our community\, we can ensure the growth and quality of tourism to and within the Navarre Beach area. \n	 \n	As the major leaders and stakeholders in the tourism market\, the Tourism Committee plays an important role in making the Navarre Beach area a preferred travel destination as well as a great place to live.\n\n\n\nMission of Tourism Committee:\n\nThe mission of the Tourism Committee is to build on the brand developed by the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office in order to stimulate positive economic impact and enrich the tourism industry businesses in the Navarre Beach area. \n\n\n\nProjects & Initiatives:\n\n\n	Tunes By The Dunes Free Summer Concert Series\n	Hometown 4th of July Parade & Celebration\n	Continuously improving the education of the Navarre area on the importance of Tourists to our community.\n	Passport to Summer Fun program (Jun-Aug)\n	Tourism Section of Chamber website with link to RelaxInNavarre\n	Community Calendar of Events "What's Going on in Navarre?" \n	Shop & Dine Events \n	Blessing of the Beach\n	Educational Workshops geared towards Tourism Industry (Customer Service\, Social Media\, etc)\n	Job Fairs
