The Holley-Navarre Fire District & Holley-Navarre Professional Firefighters Local #4695 is hosting a Fall Fire Prevention Festival and Chili Cook-off on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Navarre Park. The public is invited to this fun-filled fire safety awareness event.
Emergency personnel from Holley-Navarre Fire District, Navarre Beach Fire Department, Midway Fire District, Florosa Fire Department, Lifeguard Ambulance Services, Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office, Gulf LifeFlight, Hurlburt Air Force Base and Navarre CERT will be on hand with educational displays and to answer safety questions. Emergency vehicles will also be on display throughout the
event. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn safety tips, watch live demonstrations, explore the safety smoke house and have children’s car seats checked for safety. CAT Country 98.7 will have a booth along with helium balloons & tattoos for the children. There will be kids games and bouncies!
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Navarre Krewe of Jesters, Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, Hawaiian Shaved Ice and many more!
The Chili Cook-off event is open to the public and tickets will be sold for judging 1st, 2nd & 3rd place trophies!
Anyone interested in entering their own chili in the cook-off please contact the fire district for an entry form.
