COVENANT CARE NEEDS YOU AS A VOLUNTEER
FORT WALTON BEACH, FL, January 25, 2016 - Covenant Care is seeking individuals who are interested in making a difference in the lives of patients and families and in supporting the organization. A volunteer training will be held on Wednesday, February 3 and Friday, February 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Covenant Care office (220 Eglin Parkway NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL). The workshop is free and open to the public. Interested volunteers will need to attend both days and lunch will be provided.
No special background or experience is required to volunteer for Covenant, just a desire to make a difference. Retired or working professionals can volunteer and share their expertise and experience with patients and families.
Covenant Hospice Volunteers fill many roles in the organization including visiting with patients and families, supporting family members by offering emotional support and practical help, assisting with fundraising events, providing administrative support in the office, serving as outreach Ambassadors in the community and much more.
The Volunteer Training will provide an overview of hospice care, including Covenant Care’s programs and services and will prepare each individual to work in their area of interest. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Volunteer time commitments are flexible and based on volunteer availability.
