Emerald Coast Hospice, a non-profit hospice organization, will be blanketing the community throughout August, distributing food collection boxes and gathering donations for Sharing and Caring, Inc. as part of the company's 7th Annual Food Drive. Last year, the Ft. Walton Beach office donated 1,825 pounds of food to Sharing and Caring. This year's goal is 4,000 pounds of food. ''As active members of the community, we know that proper nutrition is important for the well-being of the people of the community and those we serve. We are proud to be one non-profit organization helping another non-profit organization meet this important need in the community. This is a great event to help replenish items in the food bank that were used during the school system's summer break. We look forward to working with many area businesses, and we encourage them to contact us for more information on how they and their employees can participate in this community effort,'' said Krista Schueler, Account Executive with Emerald Coast Hospice in Ft. Walton Beach. Emerald Coast Hospice provides a full range of hospice services to patients in the panhandle of Florida. If you want to participate in the food drive or learn more about Emerald Coast Hospice's superior hospice services, please contact Krista Schueler at (850) 862-1069. The Emerald Coast Hospice office is located at 419-A Racetrack Road in Ft. Walton Beach.
