One in a series of Florida Defense Cybersecurity Training Programs, the Gulf Coast based outreach program will focus on cyber protections for businesses, the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements for defense contractors and how to begin the cybersecurity assessment process.
The DoD is a major business opportunity for Florida’s Gulf Coast and contributes to 33% of Northwest Florida’s economy, awards more than $17.5 billion in defense contracts annually and has more than a $95 billion statewide economic impact.
With the DoD ramping up its focus and requirements on cybersecurity for its supply chain, manufacturers and defense contractors of all types will need to take specific steps to protect their networks if they want to continue doing or hope to do business with the DoD.
Without meeting the requirements for cybersecurity, your business may not be eligible to continue to provide products and services to DoD.
