__________________________________________________________________________The purpose of the Navarre Chamber's Government Affairs and Transportation Taskforce is to keep members abreast of legislative initiatives and transportation issues that have a direct impact on our businesses and community in the Navarre area.
This committee will make investigations, conduct studies and hearings, make recommendations to the Board of Directors, and to carry on such activities as may be delegated to them by the Board. a majority of these area include: business/economic climate, Governance, quality of life, environmental, education and infrastructure.
Serve as liaison on government legislation issues between local Chamber members, local governmental entities and the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce for initiatives and advocacy to address member’s needs. Government Affairs will work with and may request assistance from other committees or have that committee take over as lead committee in that particular area of their expertise if deemed appropriate.
The committee will recommend positions on legislation to the Board of Directors, and recommend to the appropriate committee, development of programs about legislation and political issues important to business members. The committee will work with other organizations and legislators to advocate for, and address, area project needs.
