Mike and Nancy Sandler will tell us about the planned Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary, a component of the Navarre Beach Park master plan. It will create multiple artificial reefs for snorkeling in the Sound and an observation. The sanctuary is expected to improve water quality in Santa Rosa Sound, increase tourism, increase marine recreational and educational opportunities, provide a centerpiece amenity for the Marine Science Center located in the park, increase essential marine habitat to local juvenile marine species and demonstrate Santa Rosa County's environmental commitment. Reservations not required.
