Everyone is invited to join us for our Military & Veteran Affairs Committee Meeting on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:30 am at The Navarre Chamber Information Center at 1804 Prado Street (behind TC's Front Porch).
Lunch begins at 11:30 am, and the Meeting will begin at Noon.
The Guest Speaker will be Ashlee Leppert, a US Coast Guard Veteran, Book Author and Inspirational Speaker.
Ashlee is a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard where she proudly served as a helicopter mechanic and rescue flight crew member. She had the distinct honor of receiving a personal invitation to President Trump?s 2018 State of the Union Address. There, she was addressed directly by the President and commended, on behalf of herself and her crew, for their rescue work during the devastating Hurricane Harvey.
She overcome hardships and met challenges with grace under the guidance of God. She has come away with valuable lessons to share. Life?s challenges have taught her to be not just a survivor, but someone who thrives in this amazing, beautiful, complicated world.
Ashlee's life experiences, combined with a desire to share her secrets to success, drove her to recount her life for the world to read. She recently released her memoir, The Hurricane Within, in print, e-book and audiobook formats.
Today, it is Ashlee's passion to share her story of resilience through inspirational speaking engagements. She shares her fundamental building blocks for a positive life!
Ashlee will have copies of her book available for purchase before and after the meeting.
Seating will be limited for this meeting, and includes lunch sponsored by Kristen Rhodes-Levin Rinke Realty.

Active duty representatives from the area bases are always invited to attend and give updates at each meeting.
And, we encourage Veterans from all service branches and all eras to be involved with the Chamber's Military & Veteran Affairs Committee.
The meetings are a good forum to communicate military member needs and issues to our business community and a vehicle for the business community to communicate opportunities and resources available to military families in the Navarre area.
The Navarre Chamber's Military & Veteran Affairs Committee is committed to supporting all the active duty and retired military families in the Navarre area.
It is our goal to make military service members and their families always feel welcome, whether they are just here to visit or have made our community their home.
The Committee is focused on opportunities to help enhance our community and make it the best place for military families to live, shop, visit and enjoy.
The military bases located in the Navarre area have an enormous economic impact on our community and the local economy, and we are committed to helping strengthen the relationships between our local business community and military personnel and their families ? partnerships that are mutually beneficial.
We never take for granted the hard work, dedication and sacrifice that our military families have made and/or are making for our country, and we believe we must always let them know that we, as a community, care a great deal about them.
The Chamber's Annual Military Appreciation Picnic is the perfect opportunity for the businesses in the Navarre area to come together to thank our local hometown heroes for everything they do for our community, county and Northwest Florida. From volunteering during the Hurricane Sally recovery efforts to serving abroad, our service men and women dedicate their lives to serving others. This Annual Picnic is our community's opportunity to show them our appreciation by treating their families to an annual fun-filled patriotic themed picnic in Navarre.
The next Picnic is currently planned to take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022 on Navarre Beach, and all active duty & retired military families are invited to attend. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE PICNIC.
In addition, there are also special event opportunities for Navarre Chamber Military & Veteran Affairs Committee Members to participate in, including base tours, ceremonies and holiday events.
The Navarre Chamber Military and Veteran Affairs Committee Meetings are open to all Chamber Members and usually held on the first Monday of every month at 11:30 am. (There is no extra cost for Chamber Members to be part of this Committee.)
