Alphy's Catfish House, at 1900 Highway 87 in Sand Dollar Plaza in Navarre is sponsoring a fundraiser on Tuesday, May 10 from 11 a.m-8 p.m. A portion of the day's proceeds will be donated to the Panhandle Butterfly House located in Navarre Park. Come out and enjoy baskets of fried catfish, mullet and shrimp. An assortment of sandwiches and sides will fill you up. Alphy's Catfish House is famous for their coleslaw and hush puppies. Owners Al and Phyllis Smith are long-time Navarre residents and supporters of the community. Their contribution will support the butterflies, gardens and educational program at the Panhandle Butterfly House. Over 13,000 people from 47 states and 14 countries visited the facility in 2010.
