The Florida SBDC at UWF/FWB is presenting “Starting a Business” on Thursday, July 19th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. In this three-hour workshop we will take an in-depth view of your business concept and discuss the steps to a successful start: Is there a need for your product or service? Can you make money at it? Are you the right person to bring this to market? Is this business compatible with your personal goals? What rules, laws and licensing apply to your business? We will discuss funding options for your business, basic marketing strategies, legal business structures, taxation and the nuts-and-bolts of actually launching your new venture. Location: Florida SBDC at UWF/Emerald Coast Campus, 1170 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Library, Room 836, 32547. Attendance fee is $50 (required at online registration – No Refunds) for the public and no fee for students and employees of UWF (just call us to register).
