
The International Classic Ballet Theater is not your typical ballet, as the performance brings 15 world-class, professional dancers from across the globe.
They perform dances from six of your favorite ballets including, Swan Lake, Don Quixote & La Bayadere.
Additionally, they perform modern dance, kopak, kan-kan, gypsy dance, and a glittering & elegant dance to the music of George Gershwin.
This is truly a fun and entertaining evening of the best of the best of classical dance.
This exciting gala program is directed by Marina Medvetskaya and hosted by the Performing Arts Cultural Exchange (PACE) Foundation which awards Classical Ballet Scholarships to children internationally.
About the Program:
Act 1 will feature the Kingdom of Shades scene from the iconic 19th-century ballet, La Bayadère, which tells the story of the love affair between Nikiya, a temple dancer, and the warrior Solar. In this 30-minute scene, Solar dreams of reuniting with Nikiya in the famous Kingdom of the Shades.
After an intermission, we pick up the pace with famous dances from the history of ballet and dance. There are 12 performances that include Grand Pas Classique; Bolero from “Don Quixote”; shimmering dances to the music of Gershwin; modern & contemporary dance; Pas D'esclave from Le Corsaire; Pas De Deux from The Talisman; White adagio from Swan Lake; Diana and Actaeon Pas de Deux; high-energy Kan-Kan, Gypsy and Hopak dances; and a finale to the music of The Nutcracker.
