2024 Inaugural SAIL Awards Nomination Form

The following nomination form can be used to nominate up to ONE (1) individual, organization or business per award. Please include full name and reason for nomination in the space given after award description and criteria.

If you have additional nominations for a single award, please complete a second form.

A nominee need only be nominated once to be considered. The number of nominations received per nominee will bear no weight in their selection.

All nominations must be received by midnight on Friday, January 17, 2025 to be considered.

Nominees must be able to attend the Navarre Beach Area Chamber Annual Awards Breakfast on Thursday, February 27, 2025 and Grand Gala Celebration on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Nominations are being accepted for the following awards (full descriptions and criteria below):


1. VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

- Awarded to a member who has a significant volunteer record within the Chamber, civic groups, and other local non-profit efforts.
- Please include why you are nominating this person or organization. Include the qualities they possess that make them most deserving of the award.
The following criteria will be used to determine the Volunteer of the Year:
• Individual exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism and community leadership through participation in Chamber or Chamber Foundation committees, programs and activities or with other local entities that support the community.
• Nominee does NOT need to be a member of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber.

2. NAVARRE YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

- The Young Professional of the Year award recognizes the Navarre area’s top young professionals.
- Nominees are all in their 20s or 30s, live within the community, demonstrate leadership ability in the community and their current role, and offer a unique perspective.
-Young Professionals are vital to the growth and progress of our community.
- They are leaders in their field, and they inspire their peers to excel.
- The following criteria will be used to determine the Navarre Young Professional of the Year:
• An up-and-coming community person under 40 who has demonstrated success and vision, made noteworthy contributions and is on his/her way to making a meaningful imprint on the future of his/her organization and the local business community.
• The nominee must be under the age of 40 years old at the time of the nomination.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in the community or business.
• Actively pursuing excellence in their profession.
• Must have at least 1 or more years of professional experience in current career.
• Involved in community, civic, or charitable activities in the community.
• Serves as a role model for others personally and professionally.
• Nominee must be a member in good standing of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber.

3. MEMBER OF THE YEAR

- Awarded to a member in good standing who has a significant record of involvement in the Chamber and Chamber activities.
- Please write one or two paragraphs to support your nomination.
- Nominee cannot have won the award in the past five years.
• Carries out the chamber’s vision and mission
• Takes the chamber’s objectives seriously.
• They take a personal interest in exceeding expectations and promoting the chamber’s success, they deserve the Member of the Year Award.

4. NON-PROFIT OF THE YEAR

- Awarded to a 501c3 non-profit organization located in and/or providing services in the Navarre area who has demonstrated exemplary best practices and a positive impact on our community.
- Organization must be operation for a minimum of 3 years.
- Organization must be in good standing with the Chamber.
The following criteria will be used to determine the Non-Profit of the Year:
• Must be a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
• Be in operation a minimum of three years.
• Has made a meaningful accomplishment in the past year that has impacted the Navarre area
• Develops and fosters the virtues and skills of civic engagement and social responsibility within our community.
• Organization's conduct must be above reproach regarding ethics, quality, service, and the development of its human resources.
• Nominees DO NOT have to be members of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber.

5. BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

- The Business of the Year is awarded to a business member who has been in business at least one year and demonstrates all-around excellence in business and is a positive impact on the local market either by providing a unique product/service.
- The nominee should demonstrate aid to the community through the use of personal and/or business resources, such as leadership of community initiatives, support of local community projects, or participation on boards of community projects.
- Please include why you are nominating this business, including the qualities they posses that make them deserving of the award.
- The following criteria will be used to determine the Business of the Year:
• Significant business achievements, industry awards, public recognition, other achievement or recommendations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ethical business practices. • Participates in community affairs and activities contributing time, effort, and resources.
• Be in business a minimum of three years.
• Nominee must be a member in good standing of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber.

6. SPIRIT OF NAVARRE

- Awarded to a chamber individual, organization or business that showed support of the Chamber's mission to connect the community to businesses while advocating with honesty, integrity and leadership. • Goes to the member who best carries out the chamber’s values and mission.
• Takes a personal interest in exceeding expectations and promoting the chamber’s success.

Please include why you are nominating this person or organization.
Include the qualities they posses that make them deserving of the award.


7. CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

- This award will be presented annually to an individual (or couple) whose volunteerism and outstanding service and dedication have made a significant contribution to the Navarre community.
• A person who continually volunteers his or her time, dedication and talents to the town and the citizens to make the Navarre area a great place to live, work and visit.
• A person who has made a positive difference to the lives of fellow citizens.
• Someone who is dedicated to the Navarre area and concerned for others. They may serve on service, school, church, or community committees.
• A person who has shown a willingness to work with other Navarre area residents, who is enthusiastic about the community and its citizens, and who works continually towards the betterment of the community.
• Helps foster a culture of citizenship and service that acts as a catalyst for others to become involved in civic and social activities.

8. CORPORATE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

-This award will be presented annually to a business or organization whose volunteerism and outstanding service, support and dedication have made a significant contribution to the Navarre community.
- Qualities looked for are as follows:
• Demonstrated the ability to improve community conditions that make a significant contribution or impact on our region.
- Such contributions might include: improving education, improving healthcare, pursuing environmental excellence, performing community service, and influencing other organizations to partner for these purposes.
• A person with qualities of honesty and integrity.
• In choosing the recipient, regard will be given to the nominee’s achievements in the year immediately prior to receiving the award, as well as their past achievements and ongoing contributions to the community.
• The business/organization nominated must be a member of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber.
