The Neighborhood Therapist provides trauma-informed mental health services to children
residing within The Children’s Neighborhood, including foster homes and the Emergency
Shelter. The therapist manages an assigned caseload and collaborates with caregivers,
schools, case managers, and community partners to promote healing, placement stability, and positive outcomes for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, and other forms of trauma.
Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling
from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Florida licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT is preferred. Two or more
years of experience in child welfare, trauma, or crisis intervention is strongly preferred.
