Dear Navarre Beach Area Chamber Members,
This morning, we shared an important letter with our elected officials about the urgent need to initiate the Navarre Beach Bridge PD&E (Planning, Design & Environmental) Study.
I’m sharing the letter with you because advocacy should be a two-way street. We elect policy makers at the local, county, state, and national levels to work on our behalf, and their decisions directly impact how we conduct business. We should hear from them about what they’re working on, and they need to hear from us about our opportunities and pain points.
Because we vote where we live, and not necessarily where we work, the Chamber’s role is essential in collectively representing the voice of business to our elected leaders. Your membership amplifies that voice.
We’re actively engaged in conversations and projects to make our community sustainable for the betterment of future generations. The Navarre Beach Bridge Project should be the number one issue of importance to everyone who lives, works, and visits Navarre Beach and the Santa Rosa County area.
In brief, we respectfully requested that the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners:
- Preserve the existing $1.1 million earmarked for the PD&E Study; and
- Allocate any additional funds necessary from Santa Rosa County Reserves so the Study can begin immediately.
We also oppose redirecting PD&E funds toward imposing a toll on the current bridge.
Call to Action — Please Attend
Everyone is encouraged to attend the next Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners Meeting this Thursday, October 9 at 8:30 am at the Santa Rosa County Administrative Building (Milton).Let’s respectfully ask the Board of County Commissioners to support ordering the PD&E Study immediately.

- Show up on October 9 wearing red: Your presence and comments matter.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the Navarre Chamber and to a thriving, connected Community.
