Interested in becoming a Master Gardener? The 2024 Master Gardener program is now taking applications for training beginning in July. The 15-week class will run every other Friday, applications must be submitted by June 1, 2024.

UF/IFAS Extension staff and some current Master Gardener Volunteers will review each application and interviews of prospective volunteers will be conducted.  All applicants will have a background screening according to University of Florida policy. A class fee of $250 to cover the cost of materials and supplies can be paid when the applicant is accepted for training. Master Gardeners receive extensive horticultural training based on research conducted through UF for our local area. They use that information to help their neighbors succeed in their lawns, landscapes, and gardens.
